Welcome to Newsbank 17
Welcome to our first Life Sciences newsletter under the College Hill brand. The College Hill Life Sciences team was significantly expanded last year, with the acquisition of Northbank Communications into College Hill. Our 25-strong team now serves some 100 clients in over 15 countries, offering a full range of communications services – meeting clients’ financial, corporate, marketing and healthcare communications needs.
All industries are being affected by the global “credit crunch” – not least companies in the life sciences sector that operate at the high-risk end of the spectrum. As the going gets tough, we are working with our clients to find ever more creative and cost effective ways to help them meet their communications objectives. Over the last few months we have successfully completed many campaigns and projects for clients and been successful in attracting new clients.
I hope this newsletter will give you a taster of the capabilities of College Hill’s Life Sciences team – I look forward to hearing from you if you’d like to find out more.

Positive Results
Acambis called upon College Hill’s media relations skills when it wanted to maximise the announcement of positive results for both a Phase I trial and a preclinical trial that tested the ability of the Acambis flu vaccine to tackle H5N1 influenza. College Hill’s Life Sciences team worked closely with the Acambis team to create significant national and international media interest and coverage.

Award Winning Clients
Congratulations to two of our retained clients for winning prestigious industry awards. At the 3rd Annual Scrip Awards ceremony Oxford BioMedica, won the Licensing Deal of the Year award for its exclusive global licensing agreement with Sanofi-Aventis to develop and commercialise TroVax® for cancer treatment and prevention. While in March, at the PLC Awards Dinner, Corin won ‘Best Performing Share of the Year’ Award. Corin’s share price rose sharply after receiving key FDA approval to market its metal-on-metal hip resurfacing product Cormet, in the US and announcing a partnering deal with Stryker, the orthopedics giant.

Launching The Change
Following on from the creation of a new corporate design style and its name change from Nimbus Biotechnologie to Sovicell, a new website was created by College Hill’s Life Science team that played a key role in fulfilling the Company’s move towards becoming a full range supplier of ADME-Tox products and services. The launch was co-ordinated with College Hill’s Life Science team issuing a press release to announce the Company’s name change.
