Welcome

We are proud of the progress our Life Sciences team continues to make despite the difficult trading climate. Our US team, which is seamlessly integrated with our teams in Europe continues to grow, and the greater breadth of services and geographical reach that we offer as part of the College Hill group has enabled us to attract new clients and better service existing ones. This newsletter is just a snap shot of our work during the last quarter.

This quarter saw the World Health authorities declare swine flu (H1N1) to be a pandemic, the first global epidemic since the Hong Kong flu of 1968, with the pandemic alert status raised to level 6, the highest possible. So Governments and companies face a new challenge on top of the financial downturn that is still depressing economies. Flu preparedness strategies both remind us of the great contribution that the life science industries have made to developing new drugs and new vaccines, and also of the great power of evolution and infectious diseases to evade the best that modern medical technology can muster!

So with few signs of recovery from the deepest depression in many decades and the impact of swine flu still to be felt, you need every weapon in your communications armoury to be well honed and highly targeted. Smart companies are putting into place proactive communications strategies to ensure they emerge all the stronger when good times return. At College Hill we are both mindful of budget constraints but at the same time creative and forward thinking. We'd be delighted to have the opportunity to show you what College Hill Life Sciences could offer your business.

College Group – Insight

instinctif is at the forefront of latest engagement thinking, translating business strategy into communication and leadership programmes. It works with its sister companies under the College Hill group to develop and deliver creative campaigns, infrastructure and messaging that drive measureable success for some of the world’s leading companies.

Recently it was the agency retained by Nomura to help them through the critical period following the acquisition of Lehman Brothers in some of the most extraordinary circumstances and dramatic timescales ever experienced. An instinctif team supported Thomson Reuters in its ambition to achieve ‘One Company, One Year’ and it is retained by RBS Insurance. All these three programmes have been awarded 2009 CiB excellence awards, underlining the belief that whilst research and theory have a definite value in informing their thinking, it’s action that gets results.
