The College Hill Life Sciences Team challenges you to put you and your company to the ultimate test! Last year’s quiz party was the Life Science event of the year, culminating in a gruelling TEN round life science showdown!

Due to the huge success of the night, we have had numerous enquiries as to when the Quiz will be repeated this year and how people can get involved. To make things easy for everyone, we’ve put together a little sign up page, so if you’re interested in taking part in this year’s Quiz, please fill out the online form and we will ensure that you don’t miss out!

“Last week I had the pleasure of attending a life science-themed quiz hosted by communications consultancy College Hill Life Sciences…the questions were fiendish!”

Matt Brown, former Editor of Nature Network

Last year’s event…

May 2008 saw the tightly fought competition for “Biotech Brains of Britain” at the inaugural College Hill Life Sciences Quiz party.

Fifteen teams from leading finance houses, the media and biotechs battled it out in a competition of 100 devillishly difficult questions posed by guest Quiz Masters Mike Ward, Senior Editor of BioCentury & John Hodgson, Director of Critical I. The winning team was from ValiRx - beating the expert analysts and the media.

The Quiz night, held at College Hill’s offices at Royal Mint Court, was in the form of a pub quiz, with ten rounds of life science themed questions - some very scientific and some rather more fun. The rounds included history, current affairs, sport, music and molecule naming. The option to play a Joker provided the opportunity to double the points in the chosen round.

With guests quickly arriving, the food, drink and conversations started flowing as anticipation built. The Quiz officially commenced with teams gathering at their tables for two rounds of questions before being released into the rooms for six poster-based question rounds. These rounds required teams to work their way around each board to fill in their answer sheets, giving them the chance to mingle with the other teams and guests. For the last two rounds, teams returned to their tables to finish off the Quiz, concluding with the final ‘music’ round: and yes, Gene Genie was one of the songs!
